I have some many wonderful memories of growing up in Belleville. We lived at 236 Mill St. just a few doors west of Clinton St. Like my siblings, we all attended St. Peters before I headed off to the newly opened Essex Catholic HS. I was also a Belleville Cop for 5 yrs before moving to Brick, NJ and joining the Jackson PD. Still have friends and family in the old home town

Boasting about the merits of one's new motor car often ended in a friendly road race!

A special treat for those with a new motor car was a trip down the shore.
